Track Resurfacing Progress

The resurfacing of the track at Hagenaeuer's Reserve was finally completed on Tuesday 2nd June 2008 and the track handed back to the club ready to once again be used for training and competition.

Due to a number of factors beyond the Club's control, including works at other grounds creating conflicting demands for the Contractor's resources, machinery breakdowns and wet weather, the works were over a month late in being completed.

However, the completed track with the additional 2 lanes on the front straight and new dual long jump / triple jump runup looks fantastic so will be worth the long wait and inconvenience.

Works commenced on resurfacing of the track on Tuesday 4th December, after more than 18 months of preparing grant submissions, lobbying Council for support, negotiating various parties to determine priorities for redevelopment works, consulting with the Council and design consultant during the design phase and then lobbying Councillors to support the project.
