2005 State League Premiers

On Wednesday 23rd February, the Box Hill men’s team clinched our fourth straight State League Premiership with a win in the final round of competition, finishing one point ahead of Essendon. This win retained our unbeaten record in State League competition for the last 2 years.

Highlights on the night were PB’s to Marty Duke in the 200 (21.00), Lachlan Aspinall (1:51.74) and Navin Arunasalam (1:54.21) in the 800 and Cameron Sherry in the pole vault (4.45 m).

Congratulations to all those who contributed to the win throughout the year, particularly team manager Chris O’Connor and Club captain Cameron Baker.

The women’s team had their best night for the season finishing in fourth place, but still finished well down the ladder.
