Great performances at Sandown Relays

Box Hill performed well overall in the annual Sandown Road Relays on 8 July, with 13 teams taking part . Four teams won their division, one came 2^nd, four came 3^rd, two 4^th, one 6^th and one 7^th.

Congratulations to our Under 20, Over 50, Division 4 and Division 6 men’s teams, all of whom claimed victories.

Our men’s Premier Division team was defending its title from last year, and clocked a faster time this year. However the competition responded and Box Hill finished 35 seconds behind St. Stephen’s Harriers and 5 seconds behind Melbourne University.

Our women’s Premier Division team ran four minutes faster than last year, but finished 6th in a strong field.

Thank you to Bob Sellwood, Simon Evans and Kirsty Ritchie, who acted as club helpers, and also to all those who were timekeepers. Your efforts are much appreciated.
