September 15 – Tan Relays

The XCR’18 season concluded with Box Hill winning one gold, three silver and one bronze medal at the Tan Relays, held on September 15.

Our men’s premier division team led into the final changeover, but unfortunately Stewart McSweyn of SSH continued his brilliant European form and relegated our team to the silver medal position. Nevertheless, this strong performance was enough for our team to claim the overall winter premiership.

Our over 50 years men’s team dominated the competition with our 1^st team winning the gold medal and our 2^nd team taking the silver.

The Under 16 boys also won a silver medal and the Over 40 women’s team collected the bronze.

Thanks you to Megan Sloane, Dan Boulton and Jordan Abbott’s father who acted as club helpers and to all those who helped with timekeeping and supporting the team.
