CROSS COUNTRY IS COMING!

With the track and field season coming towards its conclusion it is time for some to start planning for the upcoming winter season.

XCR’13, cross country and road racing season will kick off with the Jells Park cross country relays on April 27, followed by the Sandown Road relays on May 11 and the 10km road championships that will this year be held at Albert Park, finishing on the track at Lakeside stadium. The full winter calendar is attached.

 

AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX RUN

Athletics Victoria and SuperSprint are pleased to announce this new major fun run on the event calendar. The Australian Grand Prix Run will be staged on Sunday 10th March 2013 offering 5km and 10km options around the fast Albert Park circuit.  Entrants will get to experience the excitement of Formula 1™ with the entire Grand Prix infrastructure in place… course barriers, grandstands, marquees, overpasses and more.

The fast and even the not so fast, can run or walk 10km or 5km, and experience the excitement with the entire Grand Prix infrastructure in place – course barriers, grandstands, marquees, overpasses and more – you might even see some of the Formula 1™ teams setting up.
