We congratulate Nana Owusu-Afriyie, Georgia Griffith, Georgia Hansen, Harry Summers and Michael Eury for their achievements.
Congratulations to Harry Summers, who performed with distinction at the World Cross Country Championships in Denmark on Saturday. In what some consider the most competitive event in the world, and over an extremely difficult course, Harry finished in 56th place and was the third Australian across the line.
The Australian Track and Field Championships have started this week in Sydney, and Box Hill Athletic Club has representatives across the open and junior age groups.
Box Hill athletes collected 10 gold, 13 silver and nine bronze medals at the Victorian Track and Field Championships held over the first two weekends in March. Congratulations to all of our athletes!
A great night of racing was promised, and Box Hill Athletic Club delivered! National qualifiers were achieved, PBs were slashed and the record 410 athletes gave spectators an exciting night of tightly contested races.
Harry Summers has been selected to represent Australia in the World Cross Country Championships to be held in Denmark on March 30. This is a great reward for all the work Harry has put in to get back into his best form. Congratulations to Harry and to his coach, Steve Dinneen.
The highly successful Box Hill Classic is back! As we move toward the pointy end of the track season, the Box Hill Classic on Thursday 7 February is a great opportunity to trim your PB or try for a national qualifying time.
