One night last week one of our members was passing by the track at about 9:00pm and saw the lights on. On closer inspection he found the gate wide open, the gate to the club rooms wide open, lights in the gym on and music on the radio blaring.

Please, if you are the last person to leave the track, turn off the lights and close the club rooms and the gate to the track. If only one or two people are around when you are leaving, please let them know that you are leaving and remind them to lock up when they leave.

Please be aware that the track is sometimes booked by schools and other users (see club website for details). In particular note that the track is booked for a Miler’s Club meet on Thursday March 19, from 7:00pm. There is also a booking during the day on Wednesday, March 25, which will mean that the track is unavailable for training until 5:00pm on that day.

The 2015 cross country and road racing season starts in less than 7 weeks. The first event will be the cross country relays at Jells Park on Saturday, April 18. Let’s hope that Box Hill can have another successful winter season.
