KATHRYN QUALIFIES FOR WORLD JUNIORS AS BOX HILL GRABS 13 GOLDS
Box Hill athletes performed brilliantly, winning 13 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals at the Victorian junior track and field championships at Lakeside Stadium last weekend.
One of the highlights of the championships was the effort of Kathryn Brooks who won the under 20 javelin event and twice threw further than the qualifying distance for the world junior championships to be held in Poland in July.
Congratulations to all the Box Hill athletes who performed so well, especially our medalists.

A big thank you to those who volunteered as Club helpers at the state junior championships on the weekend. It is really appreciated and the competition could not go ahead without the volunteers. Thanks to the Lovass, Evans, McDonald, Pamminger, Rule, Atkinson, Doehmann, Hajdasz, Di Medio, Hepworth, Harcourt, Truong, Sellwood, Seton and Mckenzie families, who filled the Box Hill quota of helpers over the three days of competition.
