XCR’15 ROUND 6 – SANDOWN ROAD RELAYS ON SATURDAY WEEK
The next round of the XCR’15 season will be the Sandown Road Relays. The open and overage and under 20 men ran 2 laps each of the motor racing circuit (6.2km), while all other junior age groups run 1 lap each (3.1km).
We will be entering teams in most age groups and divisions, so please let us know as soon as possible whether or not you are available to compete.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR BIG V MEMBERS
Congratulations to Steve Kelly, Will Potter, Courtney Powell, Spencer Anderson, Tom Selwood (emergency), Georgia Hansen, Molly McCarthy, Tamsyn Lovass, Genevieve Wah, Laura Powell, Paris Powell, Ben Cox, Scott McKenzie, Aidan McCormack and Sebastian Failla who will all represent Victoria at the national cross country championships at the end of August.
COURTNEY DOMINATES AND THE BOX HILL MEN WIN AGAIN AT ALBERT PARK
Courtney Powell dominated the state 10km road championships at Albert Park on the weekend. In near perfect conditions, Courtney ran a huge PB of 32:33 to win by well over a minute. In the men’s race Steve Kelly placed 3rd, Will Potter 8th, Steve Dinneen 10 and James O’Connell 13th to lead Box Hill to another win in the men’s Premier Division team competition.

DION WINS THE TRARALGON MARATHON
Congratulations to Dion Finocchiaro, who won the Traralgon marathon on June 21 in the time of 2:31:19. Even more impressive was the fact that Dion was back racing for Box Hill the following weekend and running a 10km PB!
