XCR’15 ROUND 9 – BURNLEY HALF MARATHON ON SEPTEMBER 6

The next round of the XCR’15 season will be the half-marathon along the Burnley Boulevard on the morning of Sunday, September 6. There will be no junior events on this day, but junior athletes may enter the open event (if they wish to run 21.1km). Our men’s premier division team id 7 points clear on top of the ladder, but must still put in a strong showing in the two remaining events (the half marathon and the Tan relays) to make sure that we secure our third successive XCR premiership. Our men’s over 50 team is nine points clear on top of the ladder and a good performance in the half marathon will clinch the title in this division. Our men’s division 2 team and our women’s over 40 team have slipped back behind the ladder leaders after looking like possible premiership winners half way through the season, but good performances in the last two events will keep pressure on the teams above them.
