JELLS PARK RELAYS ON THIS SATURDAY!
Round 1 of the XCR’15 season will be the cross country relays at Jells Park on this Saturday afternoon, April 18.
All Open overage and men’s Under 20 races start at 12:30pm and consist of each runner completing 2 laps of the course (6km), all other underage events start at 1:00pm and consist of 3km legs.
Please arrive early to check in at the Box Hill tent and receive your new bib numbers and to check for any last minute team changes. The Waverley Rd. entrance to Jells Park is closest to the club tent area.
Draft teams are listed below. Note that these teams are subject to change.
If anyone listed cannot run, please let us know as soon as possible. If anyone not listed in a team wishes to run, let us know and we will try to fit you into a team.
We also need timekeepers and officials for this day so please let us know if you can help.

PRESENTATION NIGHT – MAY 1
The Box Hill Athletic Club Presentation Night will be held at the clubrooms on Friday night, May 1. This is a great chance to celebrate another successful year and we hope that all members can attend. This night will also incorporate (a brief) annual general meeting.
BOX HILL ATHLETIC CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Annual General Meeting of the Box Hill Athletic Club will be held at the Box Hill club rooms commencing at 7:30pm. We invite all members and interested parties to attend.

CLUB 5K HANDICAP
The Club’s annual 5k handicap race was held last Saturday along the bike paths at Gardiner’s Creek in Box Hill South. Congratulations to Mark Stewart who was first across the line and to Steve Dinneen who won the Frank Tutchener Shield by running the fastest time (after stopping to wrestle a dog along the way!).

MATT AND NANA TO REPRESENT AUSTRALIA
Congratulations to Matthew Harcourt and Nana Owusu-Afriyie , two of our top under 18 athletes who have been selected to represent Australia.
Matt Harcourt will compete in the Oceania Championships in Cairns in May while Nana has been selected to run in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa in September
NATIONAL MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to our medal winners in the Australian masters championships last week.
Andrew Wilcox won the 400m in 51.36 (Vic record and Championship record). 2nd in 100m in 12.17 in the 45-49 age group.
In the same age group, Rob Schwerkolt won the 1500m in 4:24.03 and won silver medals in the 800m (2:06.72) and the 5000m (16:32.12)
In the 50-54 yearrs age group, Andrew Egginton won a silver in the 1500m (4:43.39) and a bronze medal in the 800m (2:16.12)
